Description
The objective of this course is to give an overall understanding of how the financial system and finance within a business operates. This course is not designed to test the boundaries of knowledge nor qualify any delegate in a financial capacity, but rather to provide a basic understanding of the financial system within a business and how to use that information to make better business decisions.
There are many good reasons why non-financial managers should have some knowledge of finance and make a contribution in financial matters. Managers are at a disadvantage if they do not have sufficient knowledge at least to cope with the information on hand.
However, with enough information, the non-financial manager can complete their financial tasks quicker and more efficiently, thus leaving more time to do what they are good at! For example, the Sales Manager needs to know how to prepare a Sales Budget and the quicker this is done, the sooner they can focus on what they are good at - making sales for the company and generating income!
